Fee-Based Legal Resources For Alltrust Clients
Employment Law Hotline
Almost every human resource manager at one time or another is confronted with a difficult situation involving his or her employees. Oftentimes employment-related claims can be mitigated or even avoided.
The hotline service allows members to speak with legal counsel about a particular situation before making a decision that could cost their company money. It will provide members with a new means of double checking themselves before they have to decide to terminate an employee, administer FMLA leave, give an ADA accommodation, discipline an employee, or change an employee's rate of pay. Under the Ford & Harrison hotline services, members are free to ask any labor and employment law question with the guarantee of a quick response within 24 hours.
Alltrust has provided its clients the ability to discuss a legal matter with an attorney for up to thirty (30) minutes per month. Members who choose to pursue discussions with a Ford & Harrison attorney beyond the thirty minutes would need to retain the law firm's legal services at a discounted rate of 10% off of our current regular rates.
Position Statements
Employment Discrimination Administrative Charges
Human resource professionals are regularly called upon to prepare position statements on specific cases.
On single issue, single party claims and related correspondence, Ford & Harrison will prepare position statements for Alltrust clients at a discounted charge of 10% off of our current regular rates.
Wage & Hour
Wage and hour compliance under the Fair Labor Standards Act is an ongoing challenge for many human resource professionals.
A wage and hour audit, including a follow-up report and recommendation, would be available to Alltrust clients for a flat fee, which ranges depending on the size of the organization. Ford & Harrison's Fred Atterbury, a former Department of Labor, Wage & Hour investigator, has been advising clients on wage and hour compliance for more than 20 years.
Employee Opinion Surveys
More and more companies are measuring the strengths and weaknesses of their work environment by conducting employee opinion surveys. These surveys open up honest, productive communications within the workforce, reduce absenteeism, turnover and waste, and ultimately lead to increased productivity.
Ford & Harrison's management consultant, Richard Reinhardt, oversees the process and analyses of Employee Opinion Surveys. The surveys carry a flat fee, which ranges depending on the size of the organization and the number of surveys involved.

Employee Benefits are the fastest growing area within the practice of Labor & Employment law. New regulations arise every year, and it is beneficial for employers to stay apprised of the many changes in employee benefits laws.

Examples of such programs include harassment training, wage and hour compliance, and employee benefits and compensation plans. Ford & Harrison will work with each individual employer to structure the training style and subject for their specific in-house needs.
Legal Fees
Alltrust clients seeking the legal counsel of Ford & Harrison will receive a discounted rate of 10% off of our current regular rates, with travel costs added. The firm offers a number of additional services such as employee assessment testing, affirmative action plans, employee benefits counseling, and immigration work that will also be charged at the discounted rate of 10% off of our current regular rates.
In cases involving litigation, where a legal complaint has been filed, or with labor union negotiations, fees will be negotiated separately.
