David R. Hoover is the Managing Partner of Acrisure’s Southeast region.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the surety, insurance and risk management industries, David’s knowledge and expertise is unparalleled. As the President of the Nielson Hoover Group of companies, David oversaw all facets of the business including operations, accounting, budgeting, planning, legal, compensation, IT and staffing. David also serves on the Agency Council for several Insurance & Bond Companies as well as Company Technology Committee as Agency Council representative.

Prior to joining the surety and risk management industry, David served 12 years as a Staff Sergeant (E-6) in the United States Marine Reserve. He earned a BS from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Saint Joseph’s University. He and his family divide their time between Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Asheville, NC. 

Doug Childers is the Operations and Co-Growth Leader for the Southeast Region.  His background features close to thirty years of experience in Agency Leadership, Operations, Growth Initiatives and Acquisitions.  As President and Chief Executive Officer of LassiterWare, Doug led the agency to new heights.  LassiterWare partnered with Acrisure in 2017 and he rapidly grew the agency by combining organic growth with multiple acquisitions.  Despite the exceptional growth, Doug and his team instilled an award-winning culture across all locations.

He earned his B.S. from Florida State University school of Risk Management and has earned multiple professional designations.  Doug and his family reside in Wildwood, Fl.  He enjoys traveling with his family and serves on the board of several local non-profit organizations.

Davor Mimica is the Client Solutions and Co-Growth Leader for the Southeast Region.  Davor earned his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2007 and has over two decades of experience in the insurance and surety arena. Over that time period Davor has worked in Sales, Management, and Operations.  Davor was President & CEO of InSource prior to taking his current role.  InSource joined Acrisure in December of 2013 and during that time, Davor was part of many leadership initiatives within Acrisure.  

Davor, his wife Martha, daughter Nadia and son Andres reside in Miami, Florida.  They enjoy travel, and he loves golf and supporting his kids in their athletic endeavors. 

As Nielson Hoover Group’s Chief Financial Officer, Keith brought with him over 30 years of unsurpassed experience in the field of Accounting and Business Insurance. In this position, he was responsible for overseeing all of the company’s financial and administrative duties including budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting. Keith also played an integral role in the design and implementation of the company’s producer incentive programs and was in charge of the companies Out-side Audit and 401-K compliance.

Throughout his career, Keith has seen it all and done it all. Starting in the late 80’s, he quickly worked his way up the corporate ladder to the position of Vice President/Controller for the Southeastern region of a large national insurance firm. In 2005, he took over a retiring agent’s portfolio of business and nearly doubled it in a little over 2 years.

In the search for new challenges, Keith made the move to a regional Risk Management firm based in the Southeast when they were looking to start a new bond department. Here, he successfully organized and implemented programs that taught him all he needed to act on his entrepreneurial instincts and started his own firm. So, in 2009, Keith hung his shingle in Palm Beach, Florida. A little over a year and a half later, he came to the attention of the Nielson Hoover Group and after some healthy conversation, he joined the agency as their CFO.

Keith is a graduate of Dowling College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. He is both a licensed CPA and CIC and a recipient of numerous awards and honors.
Originally from Long Island, today, Keith and his wife Donna of 30+ years reside in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Keith is an outdoor enthusiastic and loves spending time with his wife and family.
